John and Kristen had a palpable chemistry. As the bickering married couple who rediscover their love through the tribulations of Aimable and Genevieve, they truly seemed to have a past of affection, even while arguing- a tough trick to pull off.

Kristen, to me, was the linchpin of this deep cast- a leading lady talent with a girl next-door likeability. Her strong, clear soprano carried "Bread", and her intro "Chanson" was beautifully and sincerely performed. Equally at home with sensitive drama and comedy, I sincerely hope I get to work with her again some day.

The townspeople are a bit cranky without their daily bread.

Kurt Gillens, Nate Deable, Charlie Kay.

To say this cast was blessed with great depth is a supreme under-statement!

Aimable (pronounced "Ah-mah-bull") and Genevieve (pronounced "Jon-vee-ev"), seemingly happy, settle into their new home, with their cat, Pom-Pom (Merrick Schmidt).
